At the heart of every go-to-market process is a product definition. That’s when a start-up really crystallizes as a commercial entity.
1019 has been involved in multiple product sculpting processes and has developed an effective method of sculpting a work-of-art from a raw set of product milestones. We call it sclulpting because it is a hands-on task that’s part physics (bang hammer into rock, see rock break) and part art.
To be a good product sculptor, you have to have a deep understanding of the science behind the technology (especially how to interpret test data), a full understanding of the market you’re going into (both competitive and value chain landscapes) and a deep understanding of the pain points of your customers (without which you won’t know how to price the product appropriately).
